On this blog I’m just going to share some pics and stories about us MSP’s arseing around the Hello Helsinki-event. If you want to read a proper blog about the content of the event, I suggest checking out the official event-blog!
Day one of Microsoft’s Helsinki occupation has come to an end. The MSP’s started the week-long consumer-oriented promotional event with getting to know the venue and Teemu courageously took on the sweaty challenge of the messenger-man and along with Samuli Sulkko and Jesse Santtila he took to the streets to get some face-to-face promotion. Lots of teenagers giggled, senior people frowned but mostly people just couldn’t say no to a big blue bobble-head inviting them to the event.
The event itself contained good stuff about Microsoft products for the average user. There was a lot of stuff about gaming, for instance Teemu Mäki-patola from Virtual Air Guitar was there to promote Kung-Fu High Impact on which we posted earlier and other stuff for Kinect and Halo and so on. The main focus was on the main stage where several interesting talks took place. For one two teachers took the stand to tell about their experiences with KODU game development.
Hello Helsinki! is going to be running until Thursday and you should go check it out if you’re in the neighbourhood. Tomorrow is also the TechNet-event over at Finlandia-house, and that’s more of a developer event.
Jesse (@JesseSanttila) is an IT student at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. He loves technology, gadgets, design, punk rock and videogames. He has been lately very excited about the upcoming Finnish startup-scene and brilliant ideas people come up with.
