MSDN AA Installation Fest at Lappeenranta University of Technology

Student Partners around Finland are organizing MSDN AA installation fests. Through these installation fests we aim to help our fellow students to get the free software downloaded and installed. Through MSDN AA you can get Windows 7, Visual Studio, servers and much more!

What’s MSDN AA?

First of all, let me tell you what is MSDN AA. It’s a service for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) students through which students gain almost all of the Microsoft’s professional tools to learn and develop their skills.

The Event

The photos below show the latter half of a install party at LUT, where people gathered together to install and try out new software. The event attracted a crowd, with local students stopping by to try out the available software packages. There’s no sense to leave the software lying around on the school computers when you can get it yourself and work on your own projects! The local Microsoft Student Partners both shared information about the tools and helped people go through the install process. Many, especially freshmen, were surprised to find out how much free development tools there are available to students.

And If the install process seemed to take too long, you could work out the stress by punching videogame characters in the XBox Kinect boxing game.
